Collection: NA Radler
Radlers have a refreshing history that blends practicality with a touch of serendipity. The drink originated in Germany in the early 20th century, when cyclists (the German word Radler literally means “cyclist”) sought out something light, thirst-quenching, and lower in alcohol after long rides. In 1922, an innkeeper named Franz Xaver Kugler, who ran a tavern outside Munich, faced a sudden crowd of thirsty cyclists on a hot summer day. Worried his beer supply would run out, he mixed it with lemon soda—and the Radler was born. The blend became an instant hit, offering all the crispness of beer with a zesty citrus twist, perfect for refreshment without the heaviness of a full pint. Since then, Radlers have become a summertime staple across Europe and beyond, evolving into countless variations, including non-alcoholic versions that keep the same lively character without the buzz.
