Clever Mojito begins with both spearmint and peppermint, using the two varieties to build fresh mint flavour without an overly bitter or medicinal finish. Lime peels are added before distillation for aroma, while natural flavours bring the gentle rum-like character associated with the original cocktail.
It earns its place in the lineup because the mint, lime and rum notes each remain distinct instead of blending into a sweet citrus soda. The recipe won Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
